Hidden alleys, high tides: Venice unveiled
Venice has a magic that keeps pulling me back, year after year. I’m half Italian, so maybe it’s in my blood, but there’s something about this city that feels like home. I go for the Biennale, but it’s not just the art that inspires me - it’s the hidden corners, the alleyways only locals know, and the tiny cicchetti bars where life slows down. This collection is mainly from the year Venice faced one of its worst floods. The pavements vanished under water, people shuffled around in plastic boot covers, but nothing could dampen the city’s spirit. Locals kept gathering, laughing, and even running a marathon through the submerged streets. That’s Venice - resilient, unique, and always unforgettable. These photos capture the Venice I know and love, where life thrives, no matter what.
